For irritability, tension, and the “everything is too much” feeling

Chamomile is often associated with sleep, but its real gift is soothing what’s frayed—emotionally and physically. If your nervous system feels rubbed raw, chamomile is a gentle balm.
When chamomile is the right oil
You feel irritable or reactive
You feel tense in your body (neck, shoulders, jaw)
You feel emotionally “thin-skinned”
You’re overstimulated and want to soften
Ways to use chamomile without making it complicated
1) The “soften the room” diffuser session
Diffuse chamomile for 15–20 minutes in the late afternoon or evening.
This is especially helpful if your household energy ramps up at the end of the day.
2) A calming pulse-point blend (very simple)
In a carrier oil, dilute chamomile (start low—this oil can be potent).
Apply to wrists or the back of the neck.
Go slow. Chamomile is a “less is more” oil.
3) The “pause before speaking” breath
Put one drop on a tissue, breathe in once, and give yourself a two-second pause.
This can be surprisingly helpful when irritability is about to become words.
A practical calm reminder
You don’t need to be nicer.
You need to be soothed.
Calm for this week: Use chamomile when you want your nervous system to feel less raw and more protected.
